RBC Wealth Management
As an associate RBC Wealth Management in Guernsey, Adam’s role sees him assist the firm’s fiduciary management with the provision of services to its global private clients. His client portfolio consists of trusts, companies and foundations. Adam has worked at RBC for over a decade now having studied at Guernsey Grammar School until 2010.
Alexander is an associate in the private client and international trusts practice of Mourant in Guernsey. He provides advice to trust companies, international families and high-net-worth people about wealth structuring and asset protection. He also provides advice in relation to contentious and non-contentious trust and succession matters. He joined Mourant Ozannes in 2020, having previously practised as a solicitor in Australia. Alex joined Stonehage Fleming as a senior associate in the firm’s Jersey family office division in March 2020. He is now responsible for a number of international high-net-worth clients, working with their families and advisers around the globe, supported by colleagues from across the group. Alex is both a chartered tax adviser with the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and a chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW), having qualified with PwC where he worked within the tax advisory team. Since joining Stonehage Fleming, Alex has achieved a distinction in the STEP Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients. He also has a degree in Banking and Finance having graduated from Loughborough University.
Educated in Guernsey, Blane began his career with the States of Guernsey Income Tax Authority where he worked as a collections officer. In 2007 he joined PraxisIFM as a trust administrator responsible for a diverse portfolio of complex trust and company structures, primarily focused on real estate, for high net worth individuals. Blane was also included in the 2019 and 2020 eprivateclient Channel Islands Top 35 Under 35 rankings. In his spare time he is a keen sportsman and represented Guernsey in several sports, including playing cricket for the island in World and European ICC Tournaments.

Promoted to senior trust manager at the start of 2021, Chris carries out the day-to-day administration of the entities which form part of Emirates NBD Trust Company (Jersey) Limited, which is a trust company managed by Fairway Fund Services Limited. The portfolio consists largely of real estate in London and his duties include liaising with relationship managers in London and Dubai, lawyers, tax advisors and property managers. He continues to build relationships in other major finance centres and works closely with a number of family advisers, to ensure a bespoke service to each individual client. Chris has an honours degree in financial services and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) holding the Diploma in International Trust Management.

Chris was promoted in November 2020 and also recently completed his STEP Diploma. Chris has developed excellent relationships with his clients and often receives positive feedback. Chris is always willing to assist with projects, taking ownership of certain tasks and ensuring completion before deadline. Chris also volunteered to become a member of the Zedra Environment Committee and has worked at a number of National Trust events. Chris adapted very quickly to remote working in the Pandemic, ensuring continuity of service to his clients, whilst also being a great support to his colleagues during this period.

From a private wealth and family office background, Dan is now in his third year at Crestbridge. Since joining the firm’s family office team, Dan has been heavily involved with the ongoing set up of a highly transactional family office structure based in Jersey. He has led a number of very specific technical transactions, together with a team of advisors. Through this work, Daniel has gained a significant level of experience, both within the technical element of these transactions. Despite a relatively short period of time with the company, he has proven his ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously, whilst also providing oversight to more junior members of the team to ensure their own development and key succession planning for the future. Also named as a Channel Islands’ Top 35 Under 35 in 2020, Dean is an associate in Carey Olsen’s dispute resolution and litigation team in Jersey. Whilst practicing in England, he gained a wide variety of experience including disputes involving property, trusts, insolvency, fraud and directors' duties. His current practice includes all areas of civil litigation in Jersey with an emphasis on contentious trusts and commercial disputes. Dean is also developing his regulatory practice. Dean joined Carey Olsen in 2018 having trained and worked at several English law firms. He was admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales in 2014 and was subsequently called to the Bar in England & Wales (non-practising). Dean obtained an MA from the University of Oxford in Jurisprudence and a Diploma in Legal Practice (Distinction) from the College of Law.
Edward joined ED Capital in April 2018 and in his role as manager, Edward is in charge of a number of financial and reporting matters for the group and its clients. Prior to joining ED Capital, Edward was at PwC’s Jersey office. As a member of the audit team there he worked across a range of financial services sectors but in particular real estate and infrastructure structures. This saw Edward regularly travelling to mainland Europe to visit clients. Edward holds a BA in Philosophy and Politics from the University of East Anglia and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Outside of work Edward is a keen sportsman and is a trainer in the local CrossFit gym. Always up for a challenge Edward has competed in a number of local sports events including the round island swim and Jersey marathon. This year Edward is taking part in the BB White Collar boxing where he will be raising money for Jersey Hospice.
George specialises in non-contentious trust and fiduciary law and advises on a wide range of private client issues, including cross-border estate, succession and trust planning for a variety of professional trustees, family offices and high net worth individuals. Before joining Ogier in 2020, George spent over four years in London practising as a solicitor at Taylor Wessing where he specialised in advising UK and non-UK domiciled individuals on their global asset structuring and UK tax and trust planning. George studied History and Politics at Durham University before obtaining his Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practise Course qualification at BPP University in London. George is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales.
Gregory is an Associate in the Guernsey trust and fiduciary department at Collas Crill. Gregory joined Collas Crill as a paralegal in September 2014 and started his training contract in September 2015. He qualified as a solicitor of England & Wales in September 2017. As part of his training contract, Gregory spent three months on secondment working with the private wealth team of a London based law firm. Prior to joining the firm, Gregory attended the University of Exeter where he completed a Masters Degree in Biology. He studied the GDL and LPC at BPP Law School in London. One nominator said: “Greg is someone I can always rely on to get the job done and meet every deadline. A previous Channel Islands’ Top 35 Under 35 in both 2018 and 2020, Hamish is a tax manager with over seven years’ experience at Deloitte in Jersey having joined the accounting and advisory firm in May 2014. Hamish has a masters’ degree in mechanical engineering from Edinburgh University and is experienced in giving corporate tax and international tax advice.

With 6 years’ experience in fiduciary services, and having attained the ICSA Diploma in offshore finance and administration, Jack is responsible for the day to day administration of a busy and diverse range of client structures. Jack has a particular interest in investments and administers structures which include real-estate funds, responsible investing and those that have investments with Sharia compliant requirements. Most recently Jack has been central to the completion of a structure to hold a new yacht. Outside of work however, Jack is known as the sportiest of the Highvern staff, willing to get stuck into anything so long as it’s outdoors and it’s competitive. James is an experienced commercial disputes lawyer, specialising in contentious cross-border insolvency and restructuring. He is part of Ogier's multi-disciplinary restructuring and corporate recovery team, and has particular expertise in complex and high value shareholder and creditor schemes of arrangement. He is a senior associate with Baker & Partners with a particular focus on contentious and non-contentious trust work. James also advises in relation to a broad range of contentious matters including asset tracing as well as commercial and company litigation. James has an excellent reputation locally and internationally. James is a member of the Association of Contentious Trust & Estate Practitioners (ACTAPS), Contentious Trust Association (ConTrA) and the Chancery Bar Association. James is also a member of the Trust Law Working Committee of Jersey Finance that considers amendments to the Trusts (Jersey) Law 1984.

Promoted to senior manager in the private wealth team at BDO Guernsey in November last year, Josh is responsible for managing and delivering assurance to a wide range of clients, primarily in the private wealth and commercial sectors. As part of his portfolio, Josh manages the assurance solution for one of Guernsey’s largest headquartered professional services groups leading a team of 15 qualified staff in the Channel Islands. Josh also manages the international assurance service for this group liaising with practitioners from a wide range of offshore and onshore locations globally.

Michael has over 13 years’ experience in company and trust administration, having started his career at Rothschild Trust Guernsey Limited in 2008. Whilst at Rothschild, he also completed the STEP diploma and became a full member (TEP) in 2011. In early 2016, Michael joined Oak Trust (Guernsey) initially as a senior trust administrator and the following year was promoted to team leader. In 2018, Oak Trust became part of the Oak Group as well as the group’s headquarters, with its client base consequently expanding both geographically and by assets under administration. Transitioning from leading in a single office to working in a multi-office and multi-jurisdictional setting, Michael has continued to thrive at Oak where he is currently responsible for a team of three and is directly involved in administrating over 200 client entities. Outside of work, Michael is an avid runner, angler and (prior to Covid-19) traveller.

Oliver joined Carey Olsen in 2014, having trained and qualified as a Solicitor of England & Wales with Clifford Chance. Previous work experience also includes a secondment to the Clifford Chance Singapore office and two years at Dyne Solicitors Limited, an environmental law boutique. Paul started his career at Minerva in 2014 as an assistant trust officer working in the private client team. Paul worked through a massive amount of change during the first two years working at Minerva. He was identified as an employee who had drive and ambition, and was quickly promoted to a trust officer, where he was quickly given a portfolio of clients. Paul was subsequently promoted to senior trust officer and his portfolio now includes some of Minerva/JTC’s (after JTC's acquisition in 2018) more complex structures. As a result of his dedication and passion, Paul has recently been promoted to associate manager within JTC’s private client services division, and oversees the development of the assistant trust officers in the department.

Prior to joining Dickinson Gleeson, Pierre worked for a number of years in the London office of Herbert Smith Freehills before moving to Jersey in 2016 to join the litigation department of another leading Jersey law firm. A senior manager since October 2019, Rhuaridh has worked at fiduciary services provider IQ-EQ in Guernsey since July 2017. Prior to that, Rhuaridh worked at Bourse Trust Company for two years following on from a stint as a paralegal at Mourant Ozannes. His strong technical expertise, coupled with his warm personality and humour and his drive and ambition, has seen him rise quickly through the ranks to manage a portfolio of highly complex structures, despite still being in his 20s. Rhuaridh was also key in the Guernsey office’s successful application for the STEP Platinum Employer Partner accreditation, the highest of three tiers awarded under the STEP Employer Partnership Programme.

Rory is a senior trust officer at Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries. Having joined Saffery Champness as a trainee trust administrator, through hard work and commitment Rory has progressed through the levels to his current position. Rory’s portfolio of clients is incredibly diverse and includes some prominent ultra-high net worth clients. Rory is responsible for managing large structures with multiple entities and regularly undertaking complex transactions at short notice. Outside his work commitments, Rory has always been very interested in sport, regularly playing local rugby when younger and in the more recent years, being a member of the Guernsey Amalgamated Boxing Club and winning some local boxing events against UK opponents.
An associate director since 2019, Rupert works in Deloitte’s Jersey office. In this role, he oversees Deloitte’s growing Jersey corporate tax advisory and compliance engagements, including helping clients to comply with the new economic substance legislation. Before joining Deloitte, Rupert spent two years worked at KPMG in the Channel Islands in various tax related roles. Rupert also spent six years working in Jersey, undertaking corporate tax compliance and advisory engagements for a variety of banking and trust company clients.
A trust manager at Intertrust since March last year, Sam previously worked in the Moore Stephens Guernsey office for over two years, first as an assistant manager before quickly asserting himself as a leader, resulting in his promotion to trust manager in August 2018. Scott has worked in the finance industry since 2007 and began his career at RBC Wealth Management within its trust team and spent time within the private clients team at Intertrust ahead of joining Accuro in November 2018. Sean joined Baccata in August 2020 bringing with him over 10 years’ experience in the provision of private client services. Sean has developed an array of skills which have enabled him to manage a broad spectrum of clients ranging from HNW individuals, families who have built multigenerational wealth through well-established businesses, to privately owned trading companies which actively trade in goods as part of a global network. Sean works with his trusted intermediaries to deliver efficient structuring solutions to his client’s for succession planning and asset protection. Tomás is a senior tax manager in KPMG’s tax department with nine years’ experience in domestic and international tax matters, leading a significant portfolio. Tomás advises KPMG’s largest clients, including banks, trust and corporate service provides, fund managers, multinational groups, and various island governments across a number jurisdictions. His experience spans international tax planning and transactional tax matters regarding investments in the Channel Islands as well as managing the tax traits of cross-border transactions, corporate reorganisations and tax litigation/relationships with revenue authorities.
