A third of the LGBTQ+ community incorrectly assume they would automatically inherit their partners' estate in death

Farewill, a UK will-writing service has commissioned a nationally representative survey across the LGBTQ+ community to understand how people’s different sexualities affect their estate and legacy family planning.

It revealed a third (33 percent) - of the LGBTQ+ community incorrectly assume that if they were in a relationship (but unmarried) and had been cohabiting for over five years, they would assume that if one of them were to pass they would inherit the entirety of the other's estate or assume executor status.
