A third of women may propose to their partners this weekend

As February 29th is just around the corner, as many as a third of unmarried women are considering a leap year proposal.

This comes as new research by financial comparison specialists money.co.uk revealed that a quarter of women in relationships are fed up of waiting for their partner to propose.

Women in Scotland and South-West England are the most likely to propose to their men on 29 February, while women in the North-East and Northern Ireland are the least likely.

There has also been a rise in women buying engagement rings for their men, or ‘men-gagement’ rings, as well as men choosing to wear...
