Art collecting retains top hobby spot for the wealthy with classic cars on the rise

Art collecting was the top hobby for multi-millionaires in 2017, according to a new report.

“Notably, over the past few years cycling, watch collecting, fly-fishing and car collecting have become more popular, whilst golf, tennis and horses have become less popular among the world’s super-rich,” New World Wealth said in its 2018 Global Wealth Migration Report.

Yachting took second place followed by skiing in third, golf in fourth and collecting classic cars in fifth. The top ten was rounded out with cycling, horses, fly fishing, collecting watches and tennis.
