The Bahamas has introduced a “bold” piece of legislation that will regulate digital assets and registered exchanges.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance the Hon. K Peter Turnquest introduced the Digital Assets and Registered Exchanges Bill, 2020 in the House of Assembly earlier this month. The Bill covers crypto-assets and digital tokens.
He said the legislation will provide the legal framework for a new, well regulated industry in The Bahamas.
