Channel Islands well placed to meet new recommendations but potential work to be done

A task force on The Role of Lawyers and International Commercial Structures has reported its findings and the Channel Islands are in a strong position to comply with the principles it sets out, according to David Cadin, managing partner at Bedell Cristin.

A joint initiative between the Secretariat of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the International Bar Association (IBA), the task force was set up in late 2016 in response to the controversies relating to the Panama and Paradise Papers.
