Following the sad death of Crowe UK VAT partner Keri Pay at the end of March after he lost his battle with COVID-19, the firm’s VAT team as well as colleagues, friends and Mr Pay’s wife, Laurie, are walking/running around a million steps between 1 and 30 June 2020 in his memory and raising money for CHICKS, a charity close to Mr Pay's heart.
They will attempt to walk/run (virtually) from the Crowe UK Kent office, to its other offices in London, Reading, and Cheltenham finishing at the Manchester office.... and then back again!
Founded in 1992, CHICKS is a national charity which provides free respite breaks to children aged 8-15 from all over the UK who would really benefit from a break from their home lives.
Since 1992, the charity has provided over 16,000 children and young people with much-needed respite breaks. This year, it needs to raise £1.5 million to continue providing vital breaks.
