EU officially opposes UK bid to join Lugano Convention

The European Union has officially opposed the UK’s application to re-join the Lugano Convention.

In a statement the European Commission said: “The Commission takes the view that the European Union should not give its consent to the accession of the United Kingdom to the Lugano Convention."
