EU sanctions against Russia extended to August

The European Union (EU) Council has decided to prolong economic sanctions over Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine by a further six months.

This means sanctions will remain until 31 July 2023.

The restrictive measures target specific sectors of the economy of the Russian Federation.
