Freelancers forced to turn to pay day loans

A third of freelance workers in London (1.4 million) have had to turn to pay day lenders or short term finance solutions due to late payments, ETZ Payments claimed.

The research found this compares with 15 percent of freelancers across the UK.

Additionally, 35 percent of freelancers in London can’t afford larger commitments such as weddings, holidays, and home improvements due to the freelance payment structure. This compares to a quarter of freelancers in the UK.
