HMRC appoints director general for customer service

HMRC has appointed Myrtle Lloyd as director general for its customer service group.

She was appointed following an external recruitment process and approval from the Prime Minister.

Based in Liverpool, Ms Lloyd will join HMRC on 1 March 2021.

Ms Lloyd is currently chief operating officer at Her Majesty’s Passport Office, as well as registrar general for England and Wales. She is also the head of profession at the Home Office for operational delivery.
