HMRC changes allow IHT bills to be paid online

HMRC has made changes to its estate administration, meaning taxpayers can now pay Inheritance Tax (IHT) bills online.

Taxpayers can now use their online or mobile banking app to approve the payment.

However, HMRC said that payments from the deceased’s account cannot be paid in this way and the IHT423 form should continue to be used under these circumstances.
