No fault divorce bill bought before Parliament

Justice Secretary David Gauke bought the Divorce Reform Bill to Parliament yesterday (13/06/19), meaning no fault divorce is one step closer to being inscribed into legislation.

Mr Gauke said when marriages breakdown, it can’t be right “the law adds fuel to the fire by incentivising couples to blame each other.

“By removing the unnecessary mudslinging the current process can needlessly rake up, we’ll make sure the law plays its part in allowing couples to move on as amicably and constructively as possible.”
