Non-resident UK nationals could lose personal tax allowance in hard Brexit

UK nationals who are living overseas and are regarded as non-resident in the UK for the whole of a tax year could lose their personal allowance, says 2019 eprivateclient Top Accountancy Firm Blick Rothenberg.

This would be the case if there was a hard Brexit as these individuals would no longer be an EU or an EEA national.

Currently, non-resident UK nationals are entitled to a personal allowance, specifically because they are EU/EEA nationals, according to 2007 UK tax legislation.
