North East law firm Clark Willis has hired Alex Spurr and Alister Jones as partners and head of private client and head of property respectively.

The pair originally met at law school, where they trained together.

Mr Spurr specialises in all areas of private client work including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning, trusts and probate. Having worked for practices in the Durham and Yorkshire Dales, he is also able to advise on agricultural succession planning.
