'Silver divorces’ – those involving couples married for 30 years or more – are on the rise, private client law firm Forsters has found.

‘Silver divorces’ are now eight percent of all divorces, representing 8,558 from a total of 111,932 divorces completed in 2021. In 1991, only four percent of divorces were of 30+ year marriages.
