Office of Tax Simplification to close by end of the year

The UK government has confirmed that the Office of Tax Simplification (OTS) will be closing. 

The OTS is an independent office of HM Treasury.

Its closure was announced on 23 September 2022 and will formally close when the next finance bill receives royal asset.

The OTS will publish its findings from the call for evidence on hybrid and distance working before the end of the year and will not undertake further...
