Pension poverty likely to rise as divorce rates increase

The risk of pension poverty is likely to increase with the rise in number of divorces, according to UK insurance firm Aviva.

Latest figures from the ONS reveal that in 2020, there were 103,592 divorces granted in England and Wales. With the new ‘no fault’ law that came into place on 6 April, this figure is likely to increase.
