Women in the financial & insurance activities sector currently constitute 42.7 percent of employees, according to data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
This marks a slight decrease of 1.6 percent from Q2 in 2022. However, it is an improvement of 0.4 percent from Q1 2023.
Interestingly, the representation of women in this sector has seen a consistent drop over the years. In Q1 1997, when records began, women accounted for 53.5 percent of the workforce.
