Premier League clubs recorded the highest ever gross spend in this summer’s transfer window.
The clubs’ gross spend of £1.9 billion was 67 percent higher than the previous summer transfer window of £1.1 billion and 34 percent higher than the previous record of £1.4 billion in Summer 2017.
Net spend among Premier League clubs constituted 18 percent of their estimated revenue for the 2022/23 season, a 10 percent increase on the previous summer.
