A quick look at what’s been going on in Europe…
The Danish government has prepared a document, supported by Germany, France, Spain, Austria and other EU countries, that urges EU finance ministers to consider extending the criteria for its blacklist of 'non-cooperative' jurisdictions, so that EU Member States can be included on the list.
The current criteria, agreed by EU Council ministers in July 2016, restrict the list to just third countries. However, these new proposals would allow for EU countries that do not have appropriate measures in place to be added to the list.
