US Democratic Party presidential nomination candidate Bernie Sanders has proposed a wealth tax on couples with a net worth above $32 million.
The levy would increase incrementally as follows: one percent for households worth U$32-50 million, two percent from $50-250 million, three percent from $250-500 million, rising to a maximum of eight percent on wealth exceeding $10 billion.
