Rise in private school fees sees parents turn to alternatives

The rising cost of private school fees is seeing parents turning to alternative solutions in order to make a private education achievable, according to a study conducted by CEBR for Killik & Co, the independently owned investment house.

The Killik & Co Private Education Index shows that the average cost of a year at a day school has increased by three percent since 2015 to £15000 in 2019 and that the total cost including extras of a 14-year education, from reception through to upper sixth form in a day school has risen by 15 percent since 2015 to £325,600.
