SRA plans to reintroduce 'keeping on the roll' requirement for non-practising solicitors

The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) is to consult on plans to reintroduce requirements for non-practising solicitors to complete an application allowing them to remain on the roll.

The application allows the SRA to confirm that the data held on non-practising solicitors is accurate and up to date. This includes solicitors who are retired, work in-house, or are not currently practising.
