Steven Seagal finds he isn't Above the Law after SEC fines him over bitcoin payments

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has charged actor Steven Seagal with failing to disclose payments he received for promoting an investment in an initial coin offering (ICO) conducted by Bitcoiin2Gen (B2G).

According to the SEC, Mr Seagal - who made his name starring in 90s films Under Seige and Above the Law - failed to disclose $250,000 in cash and $750,000 worth of B2G tokens which he received in exchange for promoting the ICO. This amounts to the violation the SEC's anti-touting provisions of the federal securities laws.
