There were 73,000 tax evasion whistleblowing reports were made online to HMRC in the last year.
This is a 10 percent increase from the 66,000 made in 2018/19.
Accountancy firm UHY Hacker Young suggested a major driver of the rise in whistleblowing reports is the increasing view among the general public that tax evasion is unacceptable behaviour.
