The 80s was 'the best decade' for UK homebuyers

Despite house prices reaching record highs in recent years, the increase seen in the last decade sits well below that of previous decades, according to estate agent comparison site GetAgent.

The site analysed house price data going back as far as the 1970s, adjusting for inflation, to see which decade has been the most fruitful for the nation’s homeowners.
