Britain’s wealthiest investors are buying up scores of Scottish forest land.
Certain high net worth (HNW) investors own 130 tracts of woodland, which amounts to 104,000 acres, which is on a par with some of the largest landholdings in Scotland, an investigation by The Times found.
However, it is worth noting investing in forests or woodland is nothing new. Terry Wogan famously owned significant amounts of Scottish woodland and he is not alone.
