Top one percent has almost £800 billion more wealth than official statistics show

The UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) main data on wealth misses almost £800 billion of assets held by the wealthiest one percent of households. Correcting for this oversight means UK wealth inequality is higher than previously thought, according to new Resolution Foundation research published yesterday (Sunday 3 January 2021).
