1.(02/11/2021) International law firm Charles Russell Speechlys added Madalina-Andreea Dumitrescu as a commercial dispute resolution partner in London. Ms Dumitrescu was previously at Mishcon de Reya and is a dual-qualified English solicitor and Romanian lawyer. Ms Dumitrescu will work in litigation and international arbitration offerings.

2.(03/111/2021) Tileny Smith & Williamson made two senior hires in its Birmingham professional services business with Adam West and Clare Halligan joining the firm's tax team as a partner and director, respectively. Mr West joined the firm from RSM where he was private client tax director. Meanwhile, Ms Halligan joined the firm from Grant Thornton with 10 years tax dispute and resolution experience across the London and Birmingham markets.

With more than 11 years’ experience, Mr Williams returned to Shakespeare Martineau from Charles Russell Speechlys after spending more than seven years in the latter's private wealth team.

5.(09/11/2021) UK law firm Kingsley Napley added Matt Spencer as a partner to help build a new tax practice. Mr Spencer had been at DAC Beachcroft where he worked for the last nine years. He advises on the efficient structuring of a wide range of corporate and real estate transactions including M&A, land transfers, developments and leases. Mr Spencer will develop and lead the firm’s tax capabilities.

6.(02/11/2021) Global fiduciary services provider Vistra made a series of leadership changes in the Channel Islands. Gemma Voisin became the new sector head for private wealth in the Channel Islands. She also joined the main board of Vistra Jersey and the firm's global private wealth sector committee. Ms Voisin had previously spent 17 years at Vistra, where she was an executive director. Simon Morgan - who led the private wealth business for the last ten years - became an executive director for private wealth. Mr Morgan has 39 years of experience working in private wealth. Karin Lynch became head of service delivery for private wealth in Jersey. She was previously a senior team manager.

7.(12/11/2021) Investor services group IQ-EQ appointed Joanna Macleod as its new group chief operating officer. Ms Macleod joined IQ-EQ from American Express, where she worked in the role of chief transformation officer until April 2020. In her new role, Ms Macleod will lead IQ-EQ’s global operations across its 24 jurisdictions.

8.(04/11/2021) International law firm McDermott Will & Emery promoted 41 lawyers to partner and 10 to counsel, effective January 1, 2022. The promotions followed three consecutive years of double-digit growth across all the firm's key metrics. The 2022 promotion class included lawyers across 14 global offices, including three from within its private client offering in the US, with Mac Biedermann in New York, Katie Gose in Los Angeles and Chris Nason in San Francisco all becoming partners.

Mr Edwards has acted for a wide range of high net worth families in London, the home counties and internationally. Ms Campbell was also previously at the private client team at Downs Solicitors.

10.(24/11/2021) FTSE 250-listed fiduciary services provider JTC continued to bolster its Dubai team with the appointment of Tom Kimber as an associate director within its private client services division. Mr Kimber new role is responsible for a portfolio of international and domestic UAE entity structures, as well as helping to grow the JTC presence in the Middle East.
