UHNW individuals account for 20 percent of global giving

Ultra high net worth (UHNW) individuals accounted for 20 percent of total giving, according to data and insight provider Wealth-X.

The firm’s Spotlight on Major Giving in 2020 report found that when combing individual giving with UHNW’s private foundations this figure increases to 36 percent.

The ultra wealthy have given or pledged over $7.4 billion to Covid-19 and social justice causes between January and October 2020, according to the Wealth-X Database.
