Half (49 percent) of ultra high net worth individuals (UHNWs) saw their wealth increase in 2020, 14 percent of whom increased their wealth by over 10 percent.
This is according to Knight Frank’s latest Wealth Report Attitudes Survey, which analysed responses from more than 600 private bankers, wealth advisers and family offices across 50 countries and territories, representing combined wealth of more than $3.3 trillion.
Contrastingly, just 8 percent saw their wealth decrease by over 10 percent, while 16 percent reported a marginal decrease. 27 percent said their clients’ wealth remained the same.
