UK Crown Dependencies to set up public registers of company owners

The governments of Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man have jointly announced a series of steps regarding each jurisdiction's central register of beneficial ownership information of companies and how they will move towards developing international standards of accessibility and transparency in the coming years.

The commitment announced today (19/06/2019) follows a number of years of scrutiny of the three jurisdictions from inter-governmental bodies, politicians, pressure groups and the media and is designed to increase further transparency and accessibility whilst maintaining accurate, up-to-date, verified information.
