VC firms startup investment shows continued decline

US-based startups received $286.6 billion from venture capital investors between January and October 2021, yet the numbers have shown decline since July.

VC deal volume decreased by 17.2 percent in October month-on-month and value decreased by 24.5 percent. Nevertheless, the US continues to hold the largest share of the global VC funding landscape, and accounted for a respective 44.1 percent and 53.1 percent of the total volume and value of VC deals announced during the January-October time period.
