Will-related disputes climb as number of estates worth over £1 million rises by a third

The number of estates worth more than £1 million left by wealthy people in the UK has risen by over a third in the last five years. With this, has come an increased number of will-related disputes.

London law firm Forsters revealed that the number of estates worth over £1 million increased from 8,340 in 2013/2014 to 11,210 in 2018/2019.

The firm said the rise in the value of residential property over the last decade meant the number of high-value estates has also increased sharply....
