Men are not significantly better informed than women when it comes to investing, but are much more confident regardless, new research from Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) shows.
Almost a third of women non-investors in a 2000-person survey said they didn’t invest because they didn’t know enough about it, compared to just over one in five men.
Overall, 70 percent of women say they don’t have any investments – compared to 59 percent of men.
