Businesses believes that the UK tax system is fundamentally unfair and want more support to stay compliant, according to new research released conducted by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC).
The research, which included a survey of over 1,000 UK firms, found that 58 percent of respondents think that the UK tax regime is unfair to businesses like theirs.
Two-thirds (67 percent) of respondents don’t believe that HMRC applies tax rules fairly across all sizes of businesses, with micro firms being more likely to think that (70 percent) compared with their medium and large counterparts (59 percent).
