Charitable legacy donations on the rise

Charitable legacy donations in the UK have grown from £1.76 billion to £3.36 billion in the last decade, suggesting that people are becoming more inclined to leave philanthropic donations in their Wills.

Nationally representative research from will-writing and estate planning service Farewill found a quarter of British adults would donate all or the majority of their money to charity if they knew their family was looked after financially. While 34 percent of UK adults would consider leaving a legacy donation to a charity in their Will.

A quarter (24 percent) want to have more of an impact on society after their death....
