High court rules 'car window will' valid

The High Court in Birmingham has upheld the validity of a will being disputed that was witnessed through a car window in the early days of the pandemic.

His Honour Judge Tindal found that the 90-year-old testator had the mental capacity to make the will despite a diagnosis of dementia.

In his judge's note, he praised the “ingenious arrangement” of witnessing a will through a car window in the early days of the pandemic.
