HMRC private debt collector's takings at record high

Private debt collectors working on behalf of HMRC have collected £498 million in tax debts in the year ending March 2022.

This represents a 20 percent increase compared to the previous year's £414 million, according to UHY Hacker Young, a national accountancy group.
