Celebrity millionaires have been labelled “hypocrites” after signing a letter calling for higher taxes on millionaires and billionaires at the World Economic Forum in Davos last week.
The accusation was made by Miles Dean, head of international tax at Andersen Tax UK who questioned the “hypocrisy by campaigners” who say they previously sought specific tax breaks for their businesses.
Mr Dean said that the notion that billionaires and millionaires are “crying out to pay more tax” was “laughable.”
