Oxford University award £1.2 million for AI in legal services project

The University of Oxford’s faculty of law has been awarded £1.2 million to explore the possibilities of using artificial intelligence (AI) to support legal services.

The award, from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), will fund the project ‘Unlocking the Potential of AI for English Law’, a collaborative piece of research between the law, economics, social policy, computer science, education departments and the Saïd Business School at Oxford University, as well as some private sector organisations.
