UAE and OECD sign MoU to promote tax treaties

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the OECD have signed a renewal of their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This extends their collaboration in providing regional seminars on international taxation for another three years, to 2021.

Both parties have jointly offered a series of annual seminars to facilitate the development of tax treaty networks in the Middle East and North African region (MENA) since 2006.

These also assist with adopting international taxation provisions that are aimed at meeting the needs of their economies and expanding cross-border transactions.
