US renews orders identifying individuals behind shell company real estate purchases

The US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has renewed its geographic targeting orders (GTOs) that require US title insurance companies to identify the natural persons behind shell companies used in non-financed purchases of residential real estate.

The terms of the GTOs are effective beginning 19 April 2024, and ending on 15 October 2024.
