Colman O'Loghlen re-joins Dilon Eustace as funds partner

News Team, 08/03/2021

Dillon Eustace has hired Colman O’Loghlen as a partner in its asset management and investment funds team.

Mr O’Loghlen trained with Dillon Eustace, qualifying as a solicitor in December 2011. He re-joins the company following five years working for a global AM Law 100 firm in New York.

The Irish law firm’s new appointment specialises in advising firms on regulatory and structural issues relating to the establishment and management of investment fund structures.

During his time in the United States, Mr O’Loghlen advised financial institutions and asset managers on the establishment, operation, corporate governance and registration of Irish regulated investment funds.

In particular, he advised on UCITS and alternative investment funds authorized under the AIFMD regime, and funds organized in other jurisdictions offered on a private basis (US and Cayman Islands).

Commenting on the arrival of Mr O’Loghlen, Donnacha O'Connor, managing partner said: “We’re delighted that Colman has joined Dillon Eustace. Our continuous investment in people and our team of experts is critical to successfully supporting our large national and international client base, and this appointment will greatly contribute to strengthening our position as a leading Irish legal firm and advisor to Irish Domiciled funds. Brexit and the recent new ILP fund structure afford great growth opportunities for the Irish funds industry. In this context, Colman’s experience and expertise represent a great asset to our firm and more importantly our clients”.
