Ingenious has appointed Luke Burdess to the role of business development director.
The investment company typically specialises in the media, infrastructure and real estate sectors and the announcement follows two previous board appointments in the past 12 months of Jamie Lowe as managing director of institutional distribution and Will Harrison as managing director of media.
The company is looking to expand its institutional funds business. And develop its networks in Asia and the Middle East, by utilising its deep sector knowledge to access previously unavailable investment opportunities
Mr Burdess joins Ingenious from London-based Daiwa SB Investments, where he was business development manager in the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands.
He has enjoyed an extensive career in the industry, formerly working as head of sales at Newscape Capital Group and as senior vice president at FRM.
Neil Forster, CEO at Ingenious, believed the latest appointment would enable the company to expand its reach in each sector it had interests in.
He said: “We are delighted that Luke, Jamie and Will have joined Ingenious to lead and develop our institutional business. They are highly successful executives who bring a wealth of experience and relationships to the Ingenious team.
“I am excited to be working with them to deliver on our strategic objective of expanding our institutional funds business across each of our investment sectors. Ingenious has successfully worked with corporate and institutional investors and these appointments enhance our ability to create more opportunities in those channels.”
