South Africa-based Nedgroup Investments has boosted its European and UK presence with the hire of Tom Caddick as their new head of investments for the multi-management division, based in London.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Caddick stated: “This is an exciting opportunity to be heading up the London based multi-manager investment team as well as for a global brand making substantial and effective progress in the European and UK investment market. Nedgroup Investments has made excellent headway in the region, and I’m incredibly excited for what the future has in store, and to be part of such an elite team.”

Mr Caddick spent nine years at Santander Asset Management where his last role was CIO after joining in 2011 to head the multi-manager division. During nine years at the firm, he grew a £2.5 billion book of legacy assets to a peak of £22 billion.

Prior to Santander, he was head of multi manager & fund selection at LV Asset Management and has over 20-years of investment experience.
