AIM-listed asset manager River and Mercantile (R&M) today announced that Mike Rogers, former investment partner at AON, has joined the firm as a senior adviser to its R&M Solutions business.

Considered an industry veteran, Mr Rogers joins the R&M Solutions business just after the firm announced winning nearly £2 billion in mandate appointments ahead of the June deadline for the CMA fiduciary management retender process.

Mr Rogers has over 30 years’ of industry experience in pensions and investment, spanning the asset-side and liability-side of pensions. He has held various roles including CIO of a £30 billion DB and £5 billion DC pension fund, investment partner and actuarial consultant.

R&M recently appointed Alex Hoctor-Duncan, global head of Aberdeen Standard Investments, to the board as an executive director, responsible for strategic development.
