News Team, 19/06/2019

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced that Adam Glazer has been named senior advisor to the director of the Division of Investment Management.

The SEC's Division of Investment Management aims to protect investors and promote capital formation through oversight and regulation of America's multi-trillion dollar investment management industry.

Mr. Glazer started his new position on June 12, where he will advise the director of Investment Management on issues related to mutual funds and investment advisers. He has moved offices to take this position. Prior to his appointment, he served as counsel to SEC Commissioner Michael S. Piwowar from September 2013 until January 2018. Since then, he has been counsel to SEC Commissioner Hester M. Peirce.

He has worked at the SEC for 19 years, joining the agency in 2000 as an attorney in the Division of Investment Management, where he focused on mutual fund rulemaking
