Boutique property fund hires Credit Suisse’s Burgunder

Swiss boutique Nova Property Fund Management has hired Michel Burgunder to strengthen its western Switzerland team.

He will become managing director western Switzerland and co-head of transactions.

In this role Mr Burgunder will be responsible for growing the firm’s acquisition activities in western Switzerland. This includes buying new portfolio properties, development projects and building land, contributions in kind, asset swaps or asset and share deals for the current real estate portfolios.

Mr Burgunder joins from Credit Suisse Asset Management where he was a director within global real estate. Prior to that he worked at Vaudoise Assurances, Steiner AG, Bouygues Group and Losinger Marazzi.

He holds a degree in corporate governance and administration from Swiss Board School and a Masters in real estate finance from the Higher Institute of Management, Lisbon.

Nova Property Fund Management is domiciled in Zurich and has been active in fund management with a real estate focus since November 2018.

The company also provides investment advice to real estate companies and foundations with a focus on real estate. It manages five diverse property investment portfolios across Switzerland, with total real estate assets of over CHF 2.5 billion.
